Ohio Cancer Research and our Central Ohio donors, volunteers and board members are incredibly excited to announce that our 32nd Star Award Gala will honor President + CEO, Alison Marker, and salute Marker, Inc.
This year’s event, featuring an unforgettable night of food stations, cocktails, live music and high-energy entertainment, is on Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Columbus at Easton to raise funds for new ideas in foundational cancer research.
With new, groundbreaking cancer research projects announced, OCR hopes to make this year’s gala one of the most successful in more than 30 years!
The evening also includes the presentation of the 2024 Sanford Goldston Memorial Research Award to Xue-Feng Bai, MD, PhD, Professor, Department of Pathology, The Ohio State University.OCR awarded Dr. Bai a grant totaling $50,000 in 2005 for his work on gene mutation, which in turn generated over $5.6 million in additional funding from other sources for his work.
