Ohio Cancer Research is incredibly excited to announce our return to Cleveland at the 30th Star Award Gala honoring Gary Schwartz, MD, Director, Case Comprehensive Cancer Center; Gertrude Donnelly Hess MD Professor in Oncology Research; and Vice Dean for Oncology, CWRU School of Medicine.
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Tower to raise funds for foundational cancer research.
With new, groundbreaking cancer research projects just announced at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland State University, and Case Western Reserve University, OCR hopes to make this year’s gala one of the most successful in more than 30 years!
The evening also includes the presentation of the 2024 Discover Award for Research to Sanford Markowitz, MD, Ph.D., Ingalls Professor of Cancer Genetics and Distinguished University Professor at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, Case Western Reserve University.
OCR has provided nearly $2.4 million in seed money to Cleveland area researchers which has generated over $306 million from other sources based on success.
