Star Award Gala – Columbus
On September 24, 2025, Ohio Cancer Research hosted the Star Award Gala at the Hilton Columbus at Easton—an inspiring evening celebrating leadership, innovation, and impact in the fight against cancer. We honored Kenny McDonald for his visionary leadership and enduring commitment to expanding growth and opportunity across central Ohio. We also presented the Sanford Goldston Memorial Research Award to Dr. Prajwal Rajappa of Nationwide Children’s Hospital for his groundbreaking research in pediatric brain cancer.
Guests enjoyed chef-driven food stations, signature cocktails, live music, and high-energy entertainment—all in support of OCR and our mission to fund life-saving cancer research through early-stage seed grants across Ohio’s leading institutions.
